No real surprise here. The studio wouldn't let them get away and they are too smart to kill their careers by quiting now.

Oh, thank God. I was a wreck, wondering if those great kids would get back together to deliver the magic.

LIFE IS WORTH LIVING AGAIN!

I thought one of them was supposed to die in the coming book. Guess not.

Hermione has never been the same to me after watching this one

They still have to be in the movie to die, if one of them dies, you know.

It takes one of them 2, 2 1/2 hours sequels to die? That must be painful, you know.

Sixth book is already written and read. If any of them die, it will be in Book Seven, which clearly would require the actors.

Are you off-count of your Harry Potter movies/books, goeniogoegoe?

Just let them do other things on the side and maybe they won't be washed up by the time they're 18.

Mugato [TotalFark] 2007-03-24 10:25:35 AM
They'd be fools to turn down what for some may be their last gigs. Especially that Ginger goon.

Does anyone think that if no one knew there's a planned 7 book series, I mean if they were just cranking out sequels with no apparent end, wouldn't people be farking sick of these by now? Rarely does a movie series not start sucking at #4.

Skwidd 2007-03-24 10:31:16 AM
Good. We have to those last movies in before they turn 30.

Any given character in a Peter Jackson movie takes at least that long.

Honest Bender 2007-03-24 10:33:05 AM
Emma Watson is the only one of the three that I can really see having a career after this. It's always the cute girls who manage to get a role after something like this. As for harry and ron... their career will live and die with the potter series.

/Once you've been type cast it's hard to break out

Bravo for the Wizard People, Dear Readers ref, subby!

That's just great. I can sleep better knowing tonight that these three will return for the entire series.

Wink wink, Harry. Wink wink

Honest Bender: Emma Watson is the only one of the three . . .(clip)

I thought she would be the only one not to go on. So far she hasn't shown much interest in doing other roles. While the two guys have other projects they have been working on. I picture Rupert to be a co-star. In a lot of films but rarely the star.

I would also like to see Emma with her real hair color. They say she is a natural blonde and dyes it brown for Hermione.

I am not even that big a fan. I only seen the films on cable. I was looking through IMDb after they announced Dan in Equus

Raider_dad 2007-03-24 11:31:44 AM
Could do all the above OR be able to say "yeah I was in a movie once, played a character named Newt"

Snoozer 2007-03-24 11:39:41 AM
Never heard of Harry Potter. Are the movies any good?

phillydrifter 2007-03-24 11:39:50 AM
All these posts and not one pic of Emma Watson yet? For shame on you all.

StrikitRich 2007-03-24 11:45:09 AM
Wonder how much more the got for holding out? Percentages of the gross, maybe?

Mugato [TotalFark] 2007-03-24 11:48:17 AM
Snoozer: Never heard of Harry Potter. Are the movies any good?

There's a lot of sex and drug use but they're ok.

somemoron 2007-03-24 12:07:38 PM
Emma Watson said, "I could never let Hermione go--she is my hero! I love her too much and love what playing her has meant to me. I am excited and honoured to be finishing what I started and playing her in all seven of the films.

What Would Emilio Estevez Do 2007-03-24 12:17:26 PM
If Daniel or Rupert suddenly decide to move on, I'm sure Ralph Macchio will be available to replace them. I mean, it's not like he's doing anything else these days...

The kid who plays Weasley sucks as an actor. There, I said it. I knocked a teenager's acting abilities.

Rupert Grint was great in Thunderpants.

Too bad he dies at the end of book 7.

elvindeath 2007-03-24 02:24:18 PM
Damn. That means it will be at least another 8 years before she's starring in "Embrace of the Vampire 2: Electric Boogaloo".

I always get confused as to which of Rupert Grint and Ron Weasly is the character name and which is the actor's name.

The last Harry Potter book will be title "Harry Potter and the Awkward Threesome"

"Too bad he dies at the end of book 7."

Actually that would be Neville, McGonagall, Lucius and Firenze. Ron is alive and well as Dumbledore's brother, Aberforth.

semiotix 2007-03-24 05:47:06 PM
I feel for Rupert Grint. He works just as hard on the movies as the other two, but no one ever writes about their desire to masturbate to/statutorily rape/appear naked onstage with/etc. him.

Come on. There must be a Farkette out there willing to give him a pity fap.

majestykelf 2007-03-24 05:52:26 PM
Wow ManicRepressive. There's actually some hint of butt cleavage in that picture. Good job.

The HP printer is in the movie?

BalugaJoe: The HP printer is in the movie?

Yes. It runs out of ink and the screen on the front flashes "Expecto Inkfillum" as an alarm.

Kurmudgeon 2007-03-24 11:09:46 PM
I don't think it's fair calling Ron a weasel, he more of a Ralph the Malph.

Fantastic. As long as they use the "Expellianus" spell at some point... come on... you're running out of books and movies... don't let the chance get past you...
