Headline should have read "Still no cure for My Chemical Romance"

I was going to come in here and make my usual comment about how your favorite band sucks, but I think we call all agree that my chemical romance sucks.

I don't understand this Emo music, if you wanna listen to downer music at least pick a quality musician. I've got Paul Westerberg on the stereo right now.

Maybe the pharmaceutical giants will come up with a wonder drug for both the hormone swing and tone deafness?

I agree sheisty

I really hope I don't have to listen to all this emo shiat on the "oldies" station when I'm in my 40's.

I think we'd be happier as a society if we could load kids into cryostasis tanks between the ages of 8-19 and pipe in some Rafi songs.

I used to listen to My Chemical Romance, then I tried to commit suicide. Now that I'm not so depressed I don't listen to them...think there's some link between the two?

I would argue no, that it just makes them sexless shells of human beings, not moody.

If I had the waistline of a 16-year-old girl(and was probably a vegetarian or a vegan out of trendiness) and with musical tastes to match, I'd be a sad motherfarker too.

Eat meat, drink beer, listen to metal, and fark women. Do those things, wispy emo teen guys, trust me, you'll be happier.

Thank you, I hate that some genuinely good music gets clumped together with whiny, cut-yourself music just because of the term "Emo". Emo is a general term for music based on relationships. I don't hate Emo, but I do hate My Chemical Romance. Much the same way that I don't hate Hip-Hop, but I do hate 50-Cent.

I dare say I'm the only person in my entire high school that is stable (read: younger than 20 and not emo). I seriously can't understand why people listen to My Chemical Romance, or Hawthorne Heights or any of that shiat.. also seems to be the reason why I can't find a girlfriend in school. All the girls want the moody, brooding guys who sit around and cry rather than a jock now (I'm not a jock, but some of my friends are, and they're pretty much dateless). Meanwhile, my friends and I are off listening to REAL music (ie anything != emo) and having the time of our lives getting drunk.

/too many parenths?

Dont' worry, they are learning. I saw plenty of fresh-faced punks at a Killswitch Engage concert last night, and I'd say there is hope for the world. Although, this faux-hawk shiat has to stop.

I have a good question...What is the difference between Emo and Goth? Anybody know? They seem about the same, but the Goth culture (back when I was in high school anyway) had better music, ala The Cure.

Bob Bryar's father was the best man at my parent's wedding. One of the nicest old guys I've ever met. He comes down here to visit my family every one in a while.

I'm not a big fan of his son's music, but I'm glad he's doing well for himself. If only he and his father could reconcile their differences.

What's even more funny than making fun of emo rubbish is the fact that someone tried to do so by using a 'dream theater' reference.
...and then clarifying by saying "technical ability".

A meth addict with no hands has more technical ability than DT...and could probably belt out twice as original and interesting piece of music.

That said, emo is still worse. Much, much worse.

"Teenagers are at an age where nothing makes sense to them. Everything is so dark and abysmal and the only way they can express themselves is through their appearance and behavior. Why bother using words? Nobody listens anyway. Life's cold and dark and sometimes you're the only friend you have.

I don't understand why you have to be a weepy pussy vagina to listen to modern rock nowadays. There is some great non-whiny pussy vagina rock coming out. Mostly indie progressive rock.
