As expensive as English Bulldogs are to buy, I don't blame him.

Lucy still looks rather comatose in that doggie pic.

I didn't really need to hear about the guy's 'randy gherkin'. How was that relevant to the article?

LadyAcidophillus [TotalFark] 2007-03-11 08:21:09 PM
you've got to believe it'd be easier to give mouth-to-snout to something like a lab.

From a New Zealand web site, dateline Chicago, and this happened in Nebraska.

That dog gets around.

Your dog wants a Binaca blast.

I've actually sucked the meat out of a dog through its nose.

A randy gurchin once bit me while scuba diving.

1. Steering wheel on the right? In Nebraska?
2. Military training includes mouth-to-snout?
3. Looks like she might still be dead.
4. Liquor bottle on the dashboard is a nice touch.

Did I miss anything?

Chamander 2007-03-11 08:39:18 PM
Oops. It's a boat. My bad.

Some of my points are still valid.

That dog probably drinks out of the toilet. Still preferable to Paris Hilton.

It's not really all that strange to me. I just learned how to do this in my critical care class in vet school two days ago. :p

Since when is it illegal to have open alcohol in a boat?

Only when the DNR are hanging around, other then that its usually very difficult to operate a boat without a little bit of a buzz going.

Do dogs have "faces"? This dog had a blue face until owner acted on his love for her. Fark redlight Barkfark monitors

Slightly off-topic:

Everyone should learn CPR & basic emergency stuff. It takes longer for an ambulance to reach a person than it takes for an oxygen-deprived person's brain to die, (11 vs 7 min, on average), it's just common sense. You can take a 2-3 hour class.

This guy is a Hero. Man's best friend's best friend.

Gah, didn't mean to kill the thread. Insert relatively witty joke here.

/who am I kidding
//marginally witty will do

Skwidd 2007-03-11 10:23:59 PM
^ Threadkiller!!!

I'd stomp over rows of babies and old people to rescue a dog. At least the dog would appreciate it, and probably wouldn't grow up to be a serial killer or sue.

/yes, I know Good Samaritan Laws cover most of the US
//but I also know lawyers would be willing to try their luck for $

Isn't it called a "muzzle" and not a "snout"?

FredGarvin 2007-03-11 11:09:18 PM
8ctopus, yeah. It'd be a stretch to say a bulldog has a snout, usually their noses don't go out any farther than the rest of their faces.

What stunned me was this:

My ex-wife did exactly the same thing! I had bought us an English bulldog, which we named Flash. He was getting up in years when one day, he choked on a rawhide bone. She couldn't pry his jaws apart until he passed out, but she immediately gave him CPR (she's a nurse), and 5 minutes later he was fine and dandy.

I click on the link, and boom! English Bulldog. Hands down, best dogs on the planet. I'd give mine a kidney.

FredGarvin: he choked on a rawhide bone. She couldn't pry his jaws apart until he passed out, but she immediately gave him CPR

How'd she get the bone out of the way first? CPR, I don't think, (not an expert) can't remove an obstruction unless (and meaning no offense) she can suck like a Hoover.

OH and I figured out that marginally witty comment...

"Good thing this guy was a Vet."

/groan
//marginally acceptable works too

StuffMeSidewaysWithALargeMexicanCactus 2007-03-11 11:28:16 PM
oops, can't = can. Poorly phrased anyhow. I'm drunk.

FredGarvin 2007-03-11 11:47:37 PM
StuffMeSidewaysWithALargeMexicanCactus: Not sure if you need an answer, but once he passed out, she removed the chew toy, and proceeded with MTM (or snout) and CPR. Bulldogs in general, and this one in particular, do NOT let go of something once they have chomped on it.

And at least one of my ex's could make a hoover hang it's head in shame.

You Olde English Sheepdog says that wasn't it's nose.
And you need a breath mint.
