Actually, reading that it was Ice Cube made me feel way better about it. If they do it straight up, set in today, it could just work. If they try some homage shiat, it will suck hairy balls.

We've been down this road before. And it led us to that remake of "The Honeymooners".

It's going to suck so bad why bother. Ice Cube cannot play a character like Kotter. They will need to re-create the character to fit the actor which will throw off the chemistry with the supporting actors. Even updating it for today can kill the show if not done right.

The question is: Will it bomb more or less than The Honeymooners?

18-30 are too young to care or know the original series.

30 and over will be pissed and wont bother with the movie....
