...what they mean is they are sorry they got singled out for it.

these days, you can get a prostitute or 2 for the price of a rock ticket...
call me insane., but I find it a lot more satisfying than listening to Martin whine about world globalization

"The price is a little embarrassing. When you are a famous band, a lot of things happen that you don't know about."

Sometimes things like this are comforting, in that they remind us that having money does not exempt one from being a giant farking tool. It seems to make it worse, in fact. All of us might go through life without that kind of money or notoriety, but our children will never be named Apple.

I remember chatting w/a Turkish gentleman in '94, where he mentioned that tickets to see Rage Against The Machine in Istanbul were 60 American dollars.

You know, the band that's anti-capitalism?? Hey, I wonder what kind of cars they drive and houses they live in?

We're very sorry capitalism has made us millionaires and that we continue to take advantage of it and will do so for the forseeable future.

"The price is a little embarrassing"

But not as embarrassing as actually being in Coldplay.

They should be sorry, period, and not release another album.

I remember seeing them charging for autographs in Boston.

That's 86000 pesos (86 lucas).
The monthly mininum wage is something like 125 lucas, as far as I can remember (it's been upped a couple times since I left).

They're hypocrites?? NOOOOO! Who ever would have thunk it possible? Arrogant asses. And their music SUCKS. I can honestly say that they are one of the only rock bands that I do not like even ONE of their songs. Overrated, arrogant, political-activist BS. I think what made me REALLY hate them was how they supported Mumia, and wanted him freed. Yeah, let's put a cop-killing scumbag POS back on the street. Hell, I'm not fond of cops, I pretty much think they suck, but KILLING THEM is not cool, nor should you be rewarded for it. Asshats...DO NOT WANT.
