I can actually believe that someone made this. I actually found a Sailor Moon version of it a few months ago.

Can any farker help me out with something.

Why exactly was the empire bad?

They don't really explain it in the original movies.

Star Wars is a religion to some people. Head over to Stardestroyer.net and read some of the "vs" discussions. These people have invented their own little mythos -- it's like watching bible scholars argue, each has his own interpretation of the "scripture" and God forbid you disagree with them.

Lucas damn near started a religion. I bet if he asked, some people would tithe.

Why do you think he releases new SW products every year?

/still buys many of them
//would gladly fill out "Jedi" under religious affiliation

I guess the Empire was considered bad because it used its army to keep the other planets in line and basically told them what to do. Thats all I can figure. But an Empire that uses force to achieve peace cant be all that evil.

His religion is written a whole lot better than the Adam/Eve...Noah...Abraham=Islam/Christianity/Joodiasm combo.

I've always wondered:

If "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" (released 1999) happened first in the story line; 32 years prior to "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope" (released 1977); then how is it perceived/explained by Star Wars fans how, (through better special fx/filmmaking techniques in Lucas' own actual future), everything in Phantom looks more "modern" than New Hope.

/A sentence longer not.

After the emperor took control he spent the entire empires fortune on Vaders get up and lifelike Johnson. Leaving no money to spend on upkeep of other equipment.

I actually read the Wookiepedia like last week for like a good 4 hours...it cleared up a LOT that I had in question to star wars (different books I've read...which isn't that many, loose ends). I feel better....and nerdier...time to go play some funk and rock on roll on my Les Paul so I feel less nerdy...

Going for the "used" look as GL explained away before the Prequels. As a republic gradually turns to empire, more finances are embibed into the military funds. Little room left for social or civilian uses. Hence why things always broke down for Han and Chewie. Rising prices of inflation, coupled with a market that was military-centric prevented him from acquiring parts at a reasonable rate due to mark-up.

The look of the Rebellion also reflected the "hand-me-down", obsolete look as the Empire was gradually building better, and faster craft while the Rebellion had to scrape by on used parts.

Look at any of the previous empires that existed on Earth; Nazi-Germany, Soviet Union... the civilians got crap while the military benefitted from technologies to quell any chance of a civilian uprising easily.

I work in computer labs on my PSU campus. We maintain something called the "Wookiepedia" to keep up on what's happening in all of the 12 labs on campus.

WE DID IT FIRST! Go ITS Lab Consultants!

Someone has spent a lot of time on this, their girlfriends must be mad at all their time being used in...uh...oh....Never mind. Six movies, that Christmas TV movie thing. At least Star Trek has FIVE series, hundreds of episodes, and more movies, books.
