What I want to know is why would she have been surprised? I would have thought that if she was being paid 100K just to appear, that there would have been a contract that Harrod's lawyers would have drawn up explaining the terms of her appearance and payment; additionally, the contract would have contained additional paragraphs that laid out stipulations, such as that any clothes she took were not comped, but would come out of the appear fee,or be billed to her.

That just seems a boilerplate issue in this type of situation--one Harrods would have made sure to have communicated to her lawyer, and her lawyer should have told her.

Seriously what makes famous people think they deserve to get free things all the time? If I was that rich I would feel ridiculous ever taking anything without paying.

First off Famous doesn't equal rich
Second, by giving away free shiat, it saves them in advertising
Third, blame society/hollywood, free things are thrown at teh rich and or famous, so they learn to expect it.
