if you look at the pics it's a gold plated fixture, the crapper is still Airplane standard... it actually looks on par with a first class commercial jet.

Hmm I could see two sides of this.
1. In a communism noone should receive more riches than another, so this is disgusting.
2. The plane is owned by the State, and was built by the people to show the power of the State. Putin was simply allowed to ride inside it as a representative of the State.

I dont have a problem with the show of power and affluence itself, or the financial costs (the propaganda value is huge to the Russian peasants), but some criticisms of Russian culture:

1) gold is tacky.
2) marble floors in a plane makes it go slower, and is also tacky.
3)did you check the gold plated bible? what about the fixture it was in? Logical possible conclusion is that human beings are to stupid to appreciate there religions for the strength of there ideas, instead they pray to golden idols and 'represent'.
4)And that cockpit looks dated...

Hmm... the cockpit pic is misleading - it is of a TU-154M. At the same time the interior pics are of IL-96-300 - quite a modern aircraft.
