All that slicing and dicing, and not a single bris joke.

But... ya gotta give credit to the marketing crew for creativity. And getting their seven minute ad placed on Fark.

WTF?

Talk about advertising....

What I got from the movie is:

Jews work for Satan in exchange for money.

/somehow, that is probably not the intended message

Executive Monkey 2007-01-27 02:56:38 AM
This was submitted past sundown on Friday. Jews are forbidden from using computers after sundown on Friday because it's the start of Shabbat. It thus seems unlikely that the Jewish dating site is run by Jews, and therefore it could be a trap.

Damn I'm good. I should be a detective.

Can i have my 8 minutes back.

Does this at all appeal to the audience their attempting to reach?

PartTimeBuddha 2007-01-27 04:37:31 AM
But, Executive Monkey I understood that cyborg Jews could use implanted electrics on the Shabbat if it was a survival issue and they were charged up by the Friday. The continuance of the species is a survival issue par excellance and therefore this is kosher

if it was submitted by battery powered Jewish wifi cyborgs!

/heroes in a half-shell?

So.... basically the whole thing is an ad for some new Jewish dating website?

JohnnyStreets 2007-01-27 02:45:14 PM
Submitter doesn't know what anime is.

Close enough. To be exactly accurate, their cybernetic implants cannot 1) be turned on or off on Shabbat; 2) be adjusted during Shabbat; 3) draw power from a power plant on Shabbat; or 4) be used to do work on Shabbat.

Number 4 is where the posters of the video run afoul of Jewish law, because they are advertising their business on the Shabbat.

Once the video is posted, they do no more work. In essence, videos on YouTube is a ball rolling down a hill: once started, it needs no more attention.

But they submitted the link after sundown on Friday.

Aha! Yes, I see... but is internet advertising an active or a passive matter? If X (non-Orthodox) clicks on a link which leads him to Orthodox Y's advertisement film, then can it really be said to be Y's sin?

Thank you again for your assistance in parsing this subtle doctrine :)

Boobies was 8:35PM Eastern, so it was submitted some time before. Sundown (here) is about 5:30. If the original poster was on the West Coast, it could still have been done before sundown.
