That so puts Eric Clapton to shame.

He looks like his dad is of camera threatening to flog him sorely if he doesn't play well. Watch it again, come on I dear you to not notice. Great lil' player though.

Awesome. I just hope his parents aren't those awful people who live through their kids.

A guy I jam with in a steel drum band had his 3-year-old give an informal drum recital at a party. I didn't see it, but I heard a lot about it. Apparently, it was AMAZING! The good thing is that he does it because he wants to be like daddy, and not because daddy forced him.

No, I would hit him with a baseball bat.

Not yet. Maybe someday, but not yet.

Who's playing the bass that I hear?

There was no feeling to it.

The original composition video of his is much better, although only 50 seconds long.

The kid's got mad skillz, but does playing the blues really get you laid? I wasn't aware that teenage chicks of today were so hot over that.

Doggie McNugget 2007-01-25 11:43:00 PM
Technically he's good, but it's like watching those little Asian kids play Mozart: All talent, no soul. You got to feel the notes, like an unfaithful woman.

Got to keep an eye on that kid.

CheddarPants [TotalFark] 2007-01-25 11:48:35 PM
From what I've seen over the years, musicians don't really start getting laid until they're out of high school, and old enough to play at the bars. This kid might end up getting more quality pie down the road, but the football team will get an earlier start.

/sad but true

That's what I was about to say.

First you get the talent, then you get the soul....then you get the women.

Put a blind fold on and you'd never know the difference.

I could tell the difference. I play guitar, plus I live in Chicago. I know good blues when I hear it, and this kid plays well but it's lacking the soul that maturity brings. I'm sure he'll get better as time goes on.

BTW, what the hell does concupiscence mean?

The kid's got talent.

The music did feel a little mechanical though, that shouldn't be a problem after he gets a little older.

Very impressive for his age.

The Mad Cockatiel 2007-01-26 06:06:43 AM
He needs to sell his soul to the devil and take blues lessons like Dethklok did.

my 15 month old daughter plays ddr so she can be like her mom and dad. I'll have to put that on youtube - I honestly think that's why she started walking.

True dat, except I dispute just how quality that pie is. Unless he climbs above the bar scene (e.g. sells out and plays rock and becomes famous), I think he's got a narrow window from 21-24 where things will be pretty good. If he goes rock he can look like Stephen Tyler at 55 and still be gettin the teenagers. Hmmm... what will he choose?

yesitsme 2007-01-26 09:39:09 AM
Teddy,

I'm with you. It looks like he is afraid of getting screamed at or caned if he screws up. Awesome talent, though. I hope his parents don't screw his head up too much. (Praying they haven't already)

LoveRBS 2007-01-26 09:45:40 AM
Yes but how well is their composition? True legends can write an entire song, start to finish.

doodoobutter 2007-01-26 10:38:51 AM
Shardovan Who's playing the bass that I hear?

I think it's a computer program called Band-in-a-Box (judging by the intro where you hear a time count-off that sounds like someone banging drumsticks together). It's nice program: it shows up on time, doesn't drink, and keeps perfect time.

IrateShadow [TotalFark] 2007-01-26 11:10:12 AM
The Mad Cockatiel He needs to sell his soul to the devil and take blues lessons like Dethklok did.

I think I just died a little on the inside. That whole episode is based on the life of Robert Johnson, who according to legend sold his soul to the devil at the crossroads.

carlos_1987 2007-01-26 11:48:09 AM
From that video, I've just learnt how to be good at blues music.
1) Learn a scale
2) Alternate the patterns on that scale
3) Repeat it a few times
4) Play the same scale and the same patterns either higher or lower down the fretboard

Ooo a white kid playing the blues. What does a white kid have to be blue about? Did his mommy buy him a Wii instead of a PS3 for Christmas? Go ahead and sing me a song about how hard it its been out pickin' cotton all day.

chechcal 2007-01-26 02:07:10 PM
If he keeps up with the guitar thing, he probably won't get laid before any of the football players, but in the final tally he'll outscore them by a ton.

this is how all unknown guitar greats happen. my guitar player only rips so hard because his dad was an authentic bluesman. So why is he in my band? he didnt think he was that talented, because his daddy could rip too.

Zack Page playing with Mike Keneally

Danny Rock n Roll Kid is not good, and his parents shouldnt be promoting him.. they should be making him practice.

Yeah, I would never do that. Just last night, my 13-year-old thanked me for not doing this, I think. She said, "I'm really glad you and Dad aren't the kind of parents who are all good at everything."

/That's not what she meant?

tsferg 2007-01-30 03:39:21 AM
Too bad hes wasting all that talent on the most boring of all music. Same thing every time.
