i think it's best to remember it as a Rick James tune. not only did he write it, i think, but he also kicks murphy's ass on the backing vocals.

I think I'd rather just not remember it.

And here I thought Eddie Murphy had explored everything that could possibly have been said about the girl who wants to party all the time.

somebody covered this "song" ?? in the UK?

I thought we 'mercuns were the ones that had no culture?

Aquadyne 2007-01-20 03:59:46 PM
Welcome to 9 months ago. The track was massive in the club scene and spawned 9 other remixes of the original remix that Deep Dish did. It hardly sounds anything like the original.

In some ways, it is an extension of what Deep Dish has done before, such as a remix of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" in 2005 which was another massive track for them. And a "Dire Straits" mash-up in 2004.

There's probably a couple of other ones out there that I'm forgetting.

And if you're going to make fun of P.A.T.T. then don't forget "Call On Me" and "Proper Education" (remix of Pink Floyd) by Eric Prydz

It wasn't "covered" in UK.

It was remixed by 2 very popular Iranian DJ's who reside in U.S. - and since UK is much more open to electronic/dance/club music than U.S. it charted there but not in U.S.

Any word on how "boogie in the butt" is doing? I hated that song.

Deep Dish is just capitalizing on the Crazy Frog revitalization of Eddie Murphy's early career.

Watch Sven Vath or somebody release a techno track later this year full of Delerious samples.

Best use of this song was in "Whoopie Boys" with Paul Rodriguez.

A remake of Party All the Time?!?!?

Maui Haui was onto something with Boogie In the Butt. Why not cover other comedian's "hits?"

You Look Mahvelous - Billy Crystal
Wild Thing - Sam Kinneson
No Respect - "Rapping" Rodney Dangerfield

/I might be bonkies but they're my favorite honkies

Modern music is dead. This morning I heard a cover version of Good Morning Starshine. I shudered and retreated to my record room. I felt better after a few Johnny Cash LPs.

smitty knows the charts in the UK stopped being relevant circa 1974? surely?

The only folk who buy singles these days are either 10 year old girls or gay.

and while it might not have charted here, it was a retardedly popular download on beatport.com like, what, a month or two ago..i didn't get it then, and i don't get it now, and i love deep dish and dance music.

i give it a b- for effort.

Girl I can't understand it, why you want to hurt me
After all of the things i've done for you
I buy you champagne, roses and put diamonds on your fingers
But still you hang out all night, what am I to do

(sung by Rick James)
My girl wants to party all the time,
party all the time, party all the time
My girl wants to party all the time,
party all the time, she parties all the time
Whoooohooohoohoo (party all the time)
She likes to party all the time (party all the time)
Whoooohooohoohoo (party all the time)
She likes to party all the time (party all the time)

Girl I seen you at clubs, just hangin out and dancing
You give your number to every man you see
You never come home at night because your out romancin
I wish you'd bring some of your love home to me

But My girl wants to party all the time,
party all the time, party all the time
My girl wants to party all the time,
party all the time
My girl wants to party all the time,
party all the time, party all the time
My girl wants to party all the time
party all the time (hold) yeah

party party party party party

whoooooo
whoooohoohooo

she likes to party all the time
she lets her hair down
she likes to party down

It's a great remix. *nod*

It was played at a house party I had back in June, and everyone LOVED it.
