Don't even try and get away with Dignified Traveller. The TSA will put the kibosh on that right quick .

Two flight attendants dressed up as "I Spy" characters but ended up looking like terrorists with bombs.

Is it just me, or has the author perhaps got that confused with "Spy vs. Spy"? I can't imagine dressing up like Bill Cosby and Robert Culp would cause a ruckus.

Drunk Pilot is perhaps the best on that list, solely because they couldn't stop him from being a fake, drunk pilot...it sounds as though they just followed him around a while to make sure he didn't try to fly something.

The Drunken Pilot costume sounds kinda funny.

What is wrong with CEO, drunken pilot, priest, or the opposite sex?

My best costume is in my profile, and bad to fly with if you fly the friendly skies before you fly the friendly skies.

they forgot "Highjacker"

People wear costumes to the airport? Honestly, it would never have occurred to me to dress up for my flight.

Xzavier 2006-10-18 05:40:28 PM
I've always wanted to dress up as a pilot and hit the bars! that would be frakin funny! they did that on the Man Show (link pops)

Tikifish 2006-10-18 05:40:43 PM

Costume? Meh. Try 'Natural Born American Jew of Palestinian/Middle Eastern Heritage'..

Heard from someone I work with the other day who fits that description and tried to fly. Two missed flights later, after producing a yalmulke from his luggage, the TSA finally stopped calling him a liar and let him catch his flight back home.

Birddog143 2006-10-18 05:46:45 PM
dress up in a TSA uniform and start going through peoples bags

/were is my fake metal detector wand
//these days would you wanna get on a plane with an adult in any costume

You know, 15 years ago I wanted to dress up like an ethnic Arab in traditional garb, and go to JIA, walk around the main terminal, then leave an empty briefcase on a seat somewhere, and start walking away VERY FAST.

Now adays, that will get you black-bagged & disappeared.

/It was funny back in the day.

gradatim 2006-10-18 05:49:52 PM
Am I the only one who finds it disturbing that a farking Halloween costume is banned/inappropriate just because the airport security don't "approve" of it for non-security reasons? Seriously, how is dressing up as Osama a security threat? Answer: It isn't. The only legitimate reason for getting bent out of shape over a costume would be if it was made of dangerous materials or featured knives or something like that. Bad taste != Security threat

My vote for costume you should wear to the airport:

I dare someone...to dress up like superman in a wheelchair. Steve irwin with a stingray on your chest is another.

"Costume? Meh. Try 'Natural Born American Jew of Palestinian/Middle Eastern Heritage'"

Sounds like a cunning disguise from a clever Palestinian suicide bomber. Make him spin a dradle and quote some Mel Brooks films before you trust him.

Magnir 2006-10-18 05:55:02 PM
Is this the thread where we see pics of the hot hot hot redhead who dressed up as the mad hatter from last year?

ga362 2006-10-18 05:55:11 PM
I guess a muslim could shove a fence post up their butt and go as a fudgesicle.

Free speech does have its limits. Further, airports are private property. All they have to do is enact a dress code like restaurants and clubs.

I tried that once, but the TSA claimed my back hair was a noxious weapon. Meh, I thought I looked hot.

Vosh 2006-10-18 05:58:41 PM
This Halloween remember to find parents who dress their kids up to be cute instead of scary, smile and kick them in the stomach.

/the world exceeded its lame quota with Jar Jar.

I vote for that not only to be worn in airports, but bus stops, places of business, restaraunts, indeed all places that I frequent.

Don't dress as a suitcase. You'll get lost.

TV's Frank 2006-10-18 06:03:16 PM
What's woring with dressing as the opposite sex? They don't really give an explanation for that one. Also, the flasher isn't so much a "costume," as as it is illegal. They did the drunken pilot thing on "The Man Show." Not that I ever watched the man show, of course. It was probably unoriginal when they did it, too.

studebaker hoch 2006-10-18 06:03:35 PM
Drunken pilot. A passenger thought it would be clever to come to the airport dressed up as a pilot and hit the bars a good three hours before his flight. He met up with several passengers who were horrified when he claimed to be their pilot. He wasn't breaking any rules, and nobody had the right to tell him to quit, although security was alerted and made sure he wasn't really working the flight.

Airline pilot uniform $110
Three hour bar tab: $150
Getting an entire terminal to think you work for United: Priceless.

Nabb1

Thank you. That would've driven me crazy all night trying to figure out what he was talking about.

"Why does Cliff Huxtable have 12 jello pudding pops chained together and wrapped around his waist?"
