I'll start.

Amendment I: Congress shall be empowered to make law respecting the worship the Christian God, and compelling the free exercise thereof; and abridging the freedom of speech, or curtailment of the press by requirement of National Security or Common Decency; and regulate time, location, and manner in which the people peaceably assemble, and direct petitions to their Representative for a redress of grievances.

thelunatick 2006-10-01 12:10:46 PM
Amendment II: With a Militia no longer being necessary to the defense of the nation, states should feel free to restrict the ownership and carrying of firearms and prosecute those who actually use them in defense of their life and property.

TemporarySanity 2006-10-01 12:29:24 PM
that third amendment's kinda boring. motion to skip it?

ARTICLE III
This Article was full of that Judge stuff, so we just took it out.

Classic...I just saw that hideous demi-lich Phyllis Schlafly on C-Span. I think she was saying pretty much the same thing.

Isn't this what clinton proposed?

muninsfire 2006-10-01 01:19:33 PM
Amendment V: You'll get a trial if we feel like giving you one. But we probably won't, so don't get your hopes up. After all, we got rid of all that Judge stuff in Article III, so really, what's the point?

Secret Master of All Flatulence 2006-10-01 01:48:29 PM
Each House shall make a mockery of policing itself and shall be free to throw out all the Democrats they want, but Republicans who engage in Pederasty shall be protected.

As opposed to impeached presidents who lie bald-facedly on TV and commit perjury?

Committing perjury is a crime. And if you want to know why we were attacked on 9/11, look at how Clinton had trained the terrorists to think...that if they attacked us, we'd surrender or leave.

Anybody who thinks the Republicans are all bad, and the Democrats all good, is an idiot.

Anybody who thinks the Democrats are all bad, and the Republicans all good, is an idiot.

Anybody who realizes that both sides are full of shiat, might actually have a clue as to what's going on.

It's so funny that the only response Republicans can come up with on pretty much every issue these days is "EVERYBODY SUCKS." You see it in pretty much every thread. Questioning the entire system and creating false equivalency is just a cowardly way of supporting the status quo.

I highly doubt the people saying everybody sucks are republicans, at least for the most part

Goldsfool 2006-10-01 02:01:19 PM
Vote Independant.

What's REALLY funny is that the Reps are being fairly good, strategy-wise, distencing themselves from those in their party who are corrupt and otherwise bad people.

What's extra funny about that is that it leaves about.. three republicans to do any actual work.

tonesskin [TotalFark] 2006-10-01 02:02:25 PM
Bush is a farking idiot and most likely will be remembered as the worst president ever.

That said, this "article" is probably the lamest thing I've read in a long time. It sounded more like whining to me. This is how the country works with a two-party system. When one party is in control, the other party whines and biatches. Meanwhile, they both pretty much suck.

On a side-note, anyone who brings up a Bill Clinton blow-job (or lying of such blow-job being that the question should never have been asked) needs to go be beaten senseless with a blunt object.

tonesskin [TotalFark] 2006-10-01 02:03:26 PM

I've been here for quite a while. I know people's political ideologies and have watched them post. 3 years ago it was that the Republicans were great and Democrats sucked. Now everyone sucks. It's funny to watch.

It's not about who can do the most good, but who does the least harm. The Democrats are the lesser of two evils.

Meh. I think that the George W. Bush and the genuinely horrible people that he brought into his administration have been a calamity upon this country, and that those responsible for voting them in should be hanging their heads in farking shame -- but this was a pretty weak attempt at humor.

It's not about who can do the most good, but who does the least harm. The Democrats are the lesser of two evils.

Only because they currently don't have power. Although, Republicans have been a lot more open about taking up for immoral, unethical jackasses in the last couple of years. But I'd imagine that if things were shifted, the democrats would do the exact same thing. Enjoy the next 100 years or so of this stupidity.

KIA 2006-10-01 02:07:11 PM
I wish there was something clever and witty to say here, but when people live their lives in fear of the I.R.S., in fear of the local police, in fear of breaking one of 100,000 laws, most of which are utterly ridiculous, it's really not very funny. It becomes even less funny when those 100,000 laws are only applied to "commoners" and not to the ruling elite.

/ I love my country and the people in it, but I fear the government.
// The government should fear the people.
/// But there's nothing to fear from sheeple.

How about the Democratic Party's party-line vote for the trial? Is that fair game?

As for the beaten senseless with a blunt object bit: You're free to try.

huphollandhup 2006-10-01 02:07:59 PM
Abagadro,

Does your statement apply to the Libs that try to compare christians to Muslim terrorists?

You know, another Muslim terrorist blows something up or Muslims are rioting in the street because someone points out Muhamed was a child molester. Then the thread fills up with "All religions suck, christians are just as bad"

equusdc 2006-10-01 02:08:19 PM
I know that Republicans can do bad things. What do the Democrats do that is good?

They haven't been in power in over a decade, which is to say they haven't been /able/ to actively do anything. All they can do is assent to the party in power or provide an opposing block of votes and hope to god there are a few nay-sayers on the other side. The Democrats don't have a platform? Well, the Republican platform is "SEE! They're not doing anything!"

Farking DUH...

Ummmmmmm, no... You might want to look up what the concept of libertarianism really entails. I think you'll be surprised.

/Also tired of people on Fark declaring themselves 'libertarians' with absolutely no idea of what that means.
//Also agree with Abagadro that you didn't hear a lot of 'But they all do it!' when the Democrats were in the shiat several years ago...

Except that Bush doesn't worship the Christian God.

Committing perjury is a crime...

Excuse me, Mr. Troll, but perjury doesn't mean what you seem to think it means. Giving evasive, lawyerly answers to questions while under oath was somewhat sleazy, nothing to be proud of, but it wasn't quite lying. As I remember it, even if the house had voted to convict for perjury, the conviction probably would not have withstood an appeal, since the questions (about sex) had nothing to do with the investigation (Whitewater.)

Secret Master of All Flatulence 2006-10-01 02:10:02 PM
The Democrats are the lesser of two evils.

Uh, I dunno about that. Bush has US troops shooting at places of worship outside of the US because they want to kill us, and have in fact killed many Americans. Clinton had US troops shooting at places of worship inside the US over a $200 tax issue.

/Is YOUR church BATF approved?

daz 2006-10-01 02:10:09 PM
ARTICLE III should read:

ARTICAL III - Establishment of the Liberal Judiciary

Inability to obtain popular or electoral support necessitates the establishment of an American Liberal Judiciary -- through an aristocratic judciary comprised of a multi-generational academic, instatutionalized lawyer caste who have never lived outside of New York City, Boston, or Los Angeles. These lawyers shall attend NYU, Harvard, or Cornell universities. This judiciary shall rule in accordance with modern, popular understanding of feelings and emotion and should avoid referring to any precedent, rule of law, and certainly not common sense.

Rights of the plebians to live, die, breath, have sex, worship shall be determined on an ad-hoc basis according to the Liberal Judiciary. Any attempts at infringment upon the rights set forth in this Article by the Congress or the Executive shall be met with vicious personal and hypocritical attacks by the press controlled by the aforeestablished Liberal Judiciary.

... nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation...

I guess it depends on what the meaning of "is" is. Clinton lied under oath. The fact that you're still defending him speaks volumes about your lack of moral integrity.
