What do you know about Ray Finkle?

Soccer style kicker graduated from Collier High June 1976, Stetson University honors graduate class of 1980, holds 2 NCAA Division One records, one for most points in a season, one for distance, former nickname "The Mule," the first and only pro-athlete ever to come out of Collier County and one hell of a model American.

Are you another one of those "Hard Copy" guys?

No sir, I'm just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland.

So they finally found that elusive Jimmy Hoffa!

I never did think Ricky William would amount to much.

Ricky Williams may have some some football left in him, though.

Alas Larry Csonka, I knew him well, Horatio. Whoopsie, talking to myself.

I swear to you Bimbo and Johnny, with enough swabs and Shatneresque emoting I'll find the person that did this to your daddy.

Best part of the article is that the empty lot where the bones were found is right next to a police station. Great work there Crockett and Tubbs.

WTF? How could kids riding dirt bikes there "all the time" not notice a body rotting away?

Ricky Williams' first game in Toronto was awesome.

Something like 3 carries for 7 yards. Was on the team for 3 days at that point.

His first regular season game he got 97 yards I think (high 90s at least).

Pretty good for being on the team a couple of weeks.

Could have been buried...detectives, according to the article, wouldn't say if they'd been buried or not, though.

I'm amazed noone from Miami has chimed in yet. I worked near that stadium for a few months back in 2001, and the whole area was a shiate-hole ghetto. Mostly poor Hatians trying to catch a break. Only phone office I ever worked in that had 12-foot tall razor wire fences around it. I drove to work every day with my SKS in the front seat, next to my Reuger.

From the article: "Human bones and human remains, along with a pair of pants." That sounds like a song to me!

Mercutio74 2006-07-13 02:48:28 PM
plizak:

It's hard to say even... the CFL is more of a speed/passing league than the NFL which is more ball control/Offensive and Defensive line oriented.

Just because you're good in one doesn't mean you'll be good in the other. Ricky's built for the NFL.

From the article: "Human bones and human remains, along with a pair of pants." That sounds like a song to me!

With apologies to Chicago and "Saturday in the Park"...

Human bones, and human remains,
Along with a pair of pants...
Human bones, and human remains,
Along with a pair of pants...

Someone's missing, we're not kidding,
no real celebration,
finding out whose gone...

Got to find the rest of this guy
Can we dig there? yes we can
Cause it's being waiting such a long time
to be found...

Chorus
Slow CSIers
Check the evidence around
A bronze man? Named Dan?
And all that's left is on the ground...
Investigate this, all is not lost!
All is not lost!
No, no no ...
