The headline doesn't mention that this guy was already a criminal and they just added two months onto the end of his sentence for the Nazi oath voice mail greeting. Shame on submitter for making this seem like more of a big deal than it really is.

Yea, he is already in jail, but that doesn't mean it's good to extend his sentence for any dumbass reason we can possibly find.

Not. Everyone should be entitled to their views - as long as they don't feed into actions that harm innocent people. I'd also rather know who the jerks are, I'd not have anything to do with someone like that.

I hate Nazi shiate as much as the next normal person, but it's not related to his crime, and it is not a crime itself. So punishing him for being connected to it is an abuse of power.

OH! OHHH!!! The motherfarker is a burglar too! I farking hate burglars and thieves! Last year I had my dorm room broken into the morning of my roommate's 21st birthday when everybody was passed out drunk and they stole $3000 worth of stuff from the passed out birthday boy, including his laptop, iPod, etc.

The burglar also stole one of my textbooks that I needed for Biochemistry, and this was the day before the test and all the example test questions were in that book, so I had to take an incomplete in the class since I couldn't properly study for the exam.

Burglars should be thrown in a pit full of snakes as far as I'm concerned.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how moronic it is. Everyone should be able to vocalize their opinion as well.

Throwing people in jail (or keeping them an extra 2 months in this case) for heiling hitler, denying the holocost, or for saying that they hate _________ (insert any group of people here) is rediculous. Sounds like thought crimes to me.

Just because the Nazis rose to power and farked the world up doesn't justify throwing people in jail for raising their right hand or speaking. Germany and Austria and any other country with these anti-nazi-reference laws should come to terms with their past and what they did, not hide from it.

Actually, I think in Germany and Austria they do have some fairly strict laws pertaining to espousing Nazi rhetoric and displaying Nazi symbols... Once bitten, twice shy I guess.

But, I could be mistaken... Moreover, I agree with your overall point. If I'm right, and those laws do exist, I don't think it's a good thing.

I firmly believe the most abhorrent speech is the speech that needs to be most vigourously defended... It's the chink in the armor where free speech would most likely begin to be curtailed.
