So you smoke pot and you're upset because they show an unflattering pic of someone who also smokes.

Big deal,

"You ever suck d**k for coke?!?!"

You ever suck d**k just for the nutritional content?

whidbey [TotalFark] 2005-10-27 12:13:56 PM
Of course, they're never gonna really know jack until it's legalized.

Then the research will go off the scale.

Maybe they'll isolate the time-travel molecule in pot.

See that's the problem with most of the doobie brothers nowadays. They dress up like their looking to toss a brick through a Starbucks, they may as well wear sandwich boards that read "Officer, kindly split the over-ripe gourd that is my forehead with your nightstick because I am obviously deranged." They need to learn a lesson from my good friend Harold Bressner (pictured above). Harold taught me one very important thing. He said to me brap, when you're going to smoke a bowl on the streets, don't dress up like Dee Dee Ramones retarded Canadian cousin, pop on the powdered wig and the robes, pack the corn-cob pipe and smoke to your hearts content. If anyone gives you any hassles from the squares or the pigs you can say: "You can't judge me, I AM the judge!" then whomp em good with your gavel and split with the hot hippie chick.

I'm just glad that pot is this adminstration's number one priority in their war on drugs. Because methamphetamine isn't turning poor parts of America into a wasteland.

It can make problems worse for people with a family history of mental problems. Of course, it's no justification for the ludicrous "war on drugs". It's more like suggesting we should ban peanuts because of all the people with peanut allergies.

No. That is what Canadian pot smokers look like. The appearance of pot smokers vary with country of origin. However, they all smell like a bonfire, wearing dirty clothes.

I wonder if THC will ever be used to treat cancer in the future instead of just being used as pain relief.

Does this mean if you mix tobacco and THC together your chances of cancer will go down or is the THC just strong enough to cover the weed provided carcinogens?

cornswalled- you are a farking nutter, simple as that. You obviously know NOTHING about marijuana. I have been smoking it daily for 20 years and have no mental damage as a result.

And this is old news. No mention in the article whatsoever about how the tars deposited in your lungs from cigarettes are radioactive (due to the additives).

They can't let everyone do pot.. Because then you'd have the worlds art turning from something like this:

into something like this:

TightyWhitey 2005-10-27 12:56:49 PM
cornswalled: Nope, he's not. It does cause serious mental damage. You ever SEE someone on pot and some of the OCD things they can do? It's frightening to watch.

You ever SEE someone NOT on pot and some of the OCD things they can do? You ever SEE someone on alcohol and some of the things they can do? You ever SEE someone on pot and peforming perfectly productive functional lives? (hint, yes to all three)

Ceph 2005-10-27 12:57:00 PM
Gotta agree, whidbey. I'm not sure how large of an accurate sample you could get of pot smokers. Once it is legalized then the real studies can commence. That's the real kicker -- you cannot have accurate studies until it's legalized, but to legalize it, we need accurate public studies.

/all for legalization of all forms of self destruction. tax 'em and get 'em out of the gene pool before they can draw social security\

Stuggi 2005-10-27 12:57:55 PM
I'll be honest guys - from my own personal experience, pot has no noticeable long term effects, UNLESS YOU OVERDO IT, which can be said of pretty much any "recreational substance" ie alcohol. I smoke, I don't suffer from any kind of psychosis, personality disorder, depression, or any of the other "boogeymen" that the government seem to associate with marijuana use. I've got a well paid, full time job that I have no difficulty holding down, I've got a Bachelors Degree level education, a good social life, a long term steady girlfriend. So to all you people who can't do anything except vilify people who smoke pot simply because they don't fit into your own small, confiend, stereotypical little world, fark you, fark you all straight to hell.

"A man puffs on a marijuana joint at a rally in Toronto on September 10."

A marijuana joint? As opposed to some other kind of joint?

Isn't that like saying a "tobacco cigar"?

/just sayin'
//never smoked in my life

This is perhaps for me the feel-good story of the year.
