I'm glad somebody feels the same way about those commercials. I couldn't be more creeped out if they were promoting the new Cannibal Dollar Menu with genuine BK Fingers or Filet O' Pancreas.

But its hard to get the song out of your head though.. "where cheddar paves the streets..."

I dive for the remote the second that comes on. Most obnoxious and useless commercial ever - of course you'd have to hold a gun to my head to get me in a Bugger King anyway - but this spot sucks big time!

I think it's brilliant, mostly because it has sparked many "Is that Darius Rucker" arguments among friends and family. Every link like this gets automatically forwarded to my jerkoff brother who insisted it wasn't him the first time we saw it. BUT I KNEW.

LOVE the commercial. Had to see it three times before I even knew what it was for but I still think it is genius. How many superfluous(sp?) shots of hotties can be added to a burger commercial? Apparently, a lot more than I would have thought. Besides, at least it's the hot topic of conversation. Isn't that the goal of an advertisement?

My kid has this drum-thing that plays that song so not only do I get to see the commercial that seems inspired by a 103 degree fever, I get to hear the song and be reminded of it just when I'd forgotten about it.

i think the burger king commercial is the coolest commercial on tv right now. it's not very often you see really creative spots in america. i remember one spot from virgin a while back where the scene was an art studio and a teacher was walking around the room looking at the student's work. he stops at one girls desk and starts screaming at the top of his lungs, then we see what the girl is drawing; it's a happy girl on a unicorn or pegasus and then the drawing comes off the page and she hops on and flies out the window. man i wish i could find it. usually you don't see things like that in america because we're dumb and don't appreciate it. commercials are like 30 second movies. not 30 seconds of trying to relay a message about who has cheaper cars or better legal aids. check out the newest addidas ad by spike jonze if you want to see creative advertising.

all in all, whoever is responsible for the chicken tender ranch burger king commercial, i commend you and hope that you continue to do fine television media marketing, and i hope you get a big fat telly award, and i wish i had made the commercial.

Here we are talking about Burger King, on a high traffic website, most of us here probably eat at Burger King every so often, whether we admit it or not. Because of this thread, I'm sure many will subconsciously choose Burger King for dinner tonight or in the next few days.

I'm just hysterical laughing that it really is Hootie. I've been callin' the guy that since I first saw the ad without actually knowing.

I don't actually mind the commercial itself, it's just that creepy King that freaks me out, what with him hiding in the back seats of peoples' cars, or farkin' waking up next to him like some bad drunken morning-after date.

I enjoy absurdity, and thusly, burger king's recent series of ads.

I get the feeling BK's grabbing desperately for the youth demographic as they slowly die. It just be a local thing, but a lot of BK's seem to be closing around here.

All I know is that Vida is one of the girls on the train cart thing, it even has Vida written on her ass.

My first reaction was, "Is Hootie doing this as a joke, or is he desparate?"
