Nice work Matt. It's good to see you back!

I had the Joey doll. I can't even begin to imagine why.

It's a wonder I don't have 'mom issues.'

talldarknstinky 2005-02-07 05:45:02 PM
Heck, I can't even pee 3 feet and the first foot is the hose.

IMlifelike 2005-02-07 05:47:41 PM
I wouldn't consider that baby's weener to be anatomically correct. If you do, plz go see a doctor.

Gushie 2005-02-07 05:54:30 PM
I've got V Man too... he lives right here in my office. Oh, I SHOULD have left him in the box, but how could I?! That mask trick is way too much fun.

West_Side_Charlie 2005-02-07 05:56:16 PM
An Archie Bunker card game? Is it just hearts, diamonds and clubs?

/window seat, please

CygnusDarius [TotalFark] 2005-02-07 05:56:25 PM
Ugh, I hated the Urkel doll. It's just one of those things that annoys you just because.

The best dolls (or toys, if you wanna call them like thar) to me were the Saint Seiya dolls, since they had metal armor and whatnot.

Zazen 2005-02-07 06:00:50 PM
Ive got the couch potato in my bedroom now!

*humps it*

I've a trunk full of this kind of shiat: GIJoe,$6million dolar man and robot nemesis, lotsa micronauts, original SW figures, etc.. I honestly don't know why I hang on to it: it's all been played with so no collector value. My daughter might be interested in some of it, but I doubt it. Can anyone relate?

LuigiHann 2005-02-07 06:07:11 PM
Sophistimucated: it's all been played with so no collector value.

You could probably sell it to fans who aren't collectors, they'd appreciate the lower price range. Maybe.

ChrisPC 2005-02-07 06:16:39 PM
A friend gave my parents a Couch Potato in the original box not long ago. I still have it sitting around here somewhere.

Put that stuff on ebay, and whoolaaa!!! MONEY!!!! and the fans have some stuff they want as well.

CheekyChic 2005-02-07 06:17:27 PM
I had one of those Archie Bunker grandson dolls when I was a child. No one ever even remembers them when I try to tell them about it. My ole Granny bought one for me and my cousin, however, my dad very quickly took mine from me. Wish I still had it now!!

icepal 2005-02-07 06:17:56 PM
I personally think the GW "war heroe" dol is one of the wierdest I've seen

(that isn't inflatable anyway.)

Speaking of anatomically correct dolls...

It's too bad the mythbusters didn't have that for the "Third Rail" episode...

/didn't think so

That pic makes DecemberNitro nauseous.

BigDave3K 2005-02-07 07:10:32 PM
Yeah, if I could vote for Slinkyfarm I would.

Lalalala 2005-02-07 07:12:45 PM
I had the couch potato. I forgot all about that thing. It's still as ugly as I remember it.

lowetech 2005-02-07 07:17:45 PM
I found an Urkel doll at a thrift store a few years ago. He was missing his glasses (so maybe it was a Stephan doll?) and the pull string doesn't work right anymore. When pulled it takes about .2 seconds to snap back in playing the hilarious catch phrases at ultra chipmunk speeds. You have to feed the string in slowly if you want to hear what he's actually saying. There's still some phrases I'm not quite understanding. But, damn that thing was a find. Also, this is about the 50th X-E article I've read today. Only today did I click on the "About" button. I can't believe that the whole site is one guy... If he was any funnier... ummm... he'd be Urkel!

Slinkyfarm: An Archie Bunker card game? Is it just hearts, diamonds and clubs?

That was awesome!

this is pretty disturbing

"An Archie Bunker card game? Is it just hearts, diamonds and clubs?"

...I think I get it, but then again I'm not sure.

WageSlave 2005-02-07 07:46:13 PM
Wow... breakfast in a waking nightmare.

lowetech: I can't believe that the whole site is one guy...

Yeah, he's a pretty funny guy. I actually quoted him for my senior quote in my yearbook. Unfortunately, I had to do it from memory, and I accidently put his name as "Matt Cassamina" or something. I think I mixed his name with one of the editors from IGN... It still bugs me.

Andy Satta 2005-02-07 08:11:58 PM
so what was your quote?

ctobio 2005-02-07 08:17:15 PM
I knew a dude who swapped the voiceboxes on Talking Freddy Krueger and Talking Pee-Wee Herman.

Hearing the Pee-Wee Herman doll say "I'm going to kill you in your dreams" still haunts me.

Digitalstrange 2005-02-07 09:54:03 PM
Don't have any of these 4 but I do have several of the ewok plush dolls

MiddleAgedWoman 2005-02-07 11:11:07 PM
Had the Joey doll. No big deal. . .

The most disturbing toy I saw on the shelves this past christmas was "Potty Time Elmo" complete with his own little potty. . . I'm not kidding.

HRPuffinStuff 2005-02-07 11:20:25 PM
I obsessed over the Baby Joey doll when I was like 4 or 5.

Led to a lifelong obsession.

/Mom, what do you mean, they look like that on purpose???

Invader Norbert 2005-02-07 11:22:15 PM
I couldn't get to it..the page only shows that stupid MTV2 ad and it doesnt load after that...

LuigiHann 2005-02-07 11:51:45 PM
Andy Satta: so what was your quote?

I can't find it now. It had to do with the fact that kids hide under blankets to avoid monsters, but any respectable monster is perfectly capable of eating right through them.

MucasPlug 2005-02-08 12:33:29 AM
I saw an Ernest doll that seems very similar to that Urkel doll. He just said, "You know what I mean, Vern?"

capnfutile 2005-02-08 01:04:55 AM
Bought this at a dollar store about six years back. Never had the heart to open it.

Weird weird weird. What was Tomy thinking?

My friend actualy found one of those talking Stever Irkle dolls in someones garbage a week ago and gave it to me to sell on ebay. Its oddly in perfect condition exept that the voice is messed up.

I remember seeing ADs on TV for those, the voices of 8 year old girls giggling while saying: "She really pees!" will haunt me for the rest of my days.

I will be watching your auction. I will be buying that doll unless it gets to an outrageous price. I don't know why, but it wants my girlfriend to have it. It told me so.

/outrageous price = not very much

Believe it or not, your pics reminded me that one of my neighbors as a kid had a whole set of Tinkle-Tots, and she was damn amused by them.. proud of them I'd say. She must have showed them to me a billion times. It's always amazing what XE and the related Fark threads can dredge up from my memory.

You should double her pleasure with this doll. Show her your sensitive side...
