DeLaRocha 2002-03-03 02:42:11 PM
It's the fault of the American Imperialistic War Machine, they caused these earthquakes to destroy the development of enterprise in Afghanistan. They caused these quakes to try and kill innocent people. The US Government weather machine caused earthquakes in Japan to try to destroy their economy, in Mexico City to try and destroy their prosperity, in Honduras and Nicarargua to keep the people in line with the US controlled dictatorships.

Do not trust anything from the Imperialists, they have failed to bring Osama and Omar into custody because they don't want to do that, they want to keep their scapegoats alive.

Fight the power

"My father is no different than any powerful man, any man with power, like a president or senator."
"Do you know how naive you sound, Michael? Presidents and senators don't have men killed!"
"Oh. Who's being naive, Kay?"

The US Government is using the Weather, the CIA and all their weapons to keep the Third World Nations from improving, to keep them on their knees.

'If someone gave me a magic wand that could produce tons of pure gold, luxury tequila on tap and the power to make any woman my love slave, but I could only use it in times of "war recession and national emergency," I'd be bragging, "Lucky me, I hit the trifecta," like the Bush boy, and that "national emergency" would never end..

Ever.

Will we even bother with elections in 2004?

Can't we expect a "national emergency" to take "precedent" in these "troubled times?"

...and, besides a few underfunded web sites and, of all people, William Safire, nobody seems too worried about the Bush Family Evil Empire total takeover'

Did you see the poll earlier this week that said 75 percent of Arabs think that Arabs did NOT fly those planes into the World Trade Centers?

In America, that number may only be five or ten percent, but trust me, that number is getting higher with every greedy Bush power grab.

We know the Bush Family has done business with bin Laden.
We know the Bush Family has done business with Noriega.
We know the Bush Family has done business with Islamic Jihad.
We know the Bush Family has done business with Hitler.
We know the Bush Family has done business with Saddam.

They're not even careful about what they're doing because nobody cares.

Bush's evil empire MUST be stopped

I think DLR's being a bit paranoid, though I agree that the Bushes seem intent on setting up a kingdom in the US, but I doubt it'll succeed. No way anyone would "re-elect" this douchebag, and if they did you can damn well bet that a bunch of forward-thinking people are gonna revolt. But yeah, we gotta spread the wealth around a lot better, starting with our own people, then outwards to the other nations of the world. The middle class is all but disappearing, and even college grads (some I know, and are quite bright) are forced into $10/hour slavery, if that.

These quakes aren't US caused or anything; that's total bull. If nothing else, it's God's/Allah's/Buddha's/Jebus's way of telling those poor people to get the f\/ck out of that shiat-hole.

Hmm, maybe everyone barricading themselves into compounds have a point... Shadow government, nuclear weapon detectors in DC. "Don't worry, we have put into place advance warning systems"... enacted by the same people who let 50% of the terrorists on planes shrugging off the advance warning systems.

If we're a nation of laws, then why did our own President throw out the military law (FM 27-10, Ch2, Sec2, 31) which forbids offering a reward for an enemy (a la the "dead or alive" speech)?

I have immense respect for the people that make up our military. I'm not so sure about the people that command them. The framers of the constitution were correct to put the hands of the military in into that of the civilians. I'm not so sure we picked the right civilians.

Call me un-American for not blindly supporting our chosen leaders. But to think that everything is just fine in the world, and we don't have a role in anything that is wrong, is incredibly naive.

"I see the states, across this big nation
I see the laws made in Washington, D.C.
I think of the ones I consider my favorites
I think of the people that are working for me"

I would rather have all opinion's than only opinions that agree with mine. I am not stupid enough to think that I am always right.

That was said when everyone was insanely patriotic. Everyone thought there was going to be a big battle with tons of terrorist attacks on the U.S. Instead there's just the U.S. bombing poor fanatic peasants.

I'm not going to leave and go to a country I know nothing about just because I disagree with a bunch of depressed fat Americans who want to create meaning in their lives.

The US War Machine keeps going on. Ashcroft has opposed the Separation of Church and State, the separation of races, capital punishment and against the women's right to choose what she does with her body.

Ashcroft fears cats, he is gonna railroad Johnny Lindh into jail with a jury of conservative virginians and a judge that is a friend of Ashcroft's.

Bush and his thugs will destroy freedom in America. Guaranteed.

Bush is residing over a recession, continuing an endless war to try and get elected.

That was said when everyone was insanely patriotic.

The short attention span of the typical American. Well, sorry the U.S. Government couldn't provide you with instant gratification in regard to retaliation for the murder of several thousand of our citizens on our own soil as well as our future safety from the agents who caused it.

Unfortunately things can't be as simple as "those I don't agree with are depressed fat Americans."

and go to a country I know nothing about
I think that summed it up real well.

Bisifiniti 2002-03-03 05:59:08 PM
Ouch: By your definition, this war is unjustified because they haven't attacked us again. If you want to justify the war, why don't you petition to arm our enemy?

Odietamo

Well, sorry the U.S. Government couldn't provide you with instant gratification in regard to retaliation for the murder of several thousand of our citizens on our own soil as well as our future safety from the agents who caused it.

A lot of those citizens were foreign nationals. Remember how the U.S. government kept saying how this was the world's problem since so many people from different countries were killed? Funny how nothing happened when hundreds of African's were killed in those embassies in an attack on an American target. Seems as though they don't count since their countries are of no value to America.

I think that summed it up real well

I see you think you are the definitive person to go to when it comes to the U.S. people!! Good to know a representative of America is on this message board to teach me whose boss!!

odietamo 2002-03-03 06:14:20 PM
Seems as though they don't count since their countries are of no value to America.
Absolutely correct.

More importantly, not the point.

I see you think you are the definitive person to go to when it comes to the U.S. people
Not at all. Never claimed it.

whose boss
I don't recall even implying that.

Like I said, and go to a country I know nothing about
"I think that summed it up real well."

Word of advice, quit while your behind.

odietamo 2002-03-03 06:15:04 PM
oops. Wrong tag.
whose boss

Ouch 2002-03-03 06:22:44 PM
By your definition, this war is unjustified because they haven't attacked us again.

I never said that. I'm just pointing out the lack of patriotism when the "war" appears to be a turkey shoot. It now just seems to be something to cling onto so people have something to tell their grandkids. I don't anticipate another terrorist attack any time soon since everything is regulated to excess. Even if there is one, I doubt it will directly affect any of us. The suffering that happened because of the WTC disaster happens in different forms all over the world and nobody seems to be affected. Usually normal people don't take the initiative in actively doing something about the injustices of the world because they have no power over them. That's why people are up in arms every time somebody criticizes the U.S., because they think they're being blamed for something that's, in reality, their governments fault.

If you want to justify the war, why don't you petition to arm our enemy?

I think the CIA already did that during the 80's.

aj_roller 2002-03-03 06:39:50 PM
You and Pat Buchanan want America all for yourselves.

wow, now that's a scary thought... don't think so

What I can tell you about how I feel is.... I live on a street with many neighbors. If there is one who needs food, I'll give them food. If they need someone to listen to them, I'll lend an ear. If they need a babysitter, I'll babysit... all for free. And no, none of them are my friends. If one of my neighbors bombed my house, I'll be the first to say... their ass is grass and I'm the lawnmower, and I don't care where you live!

and on a side note, I didn't vote for Bush, and I don't agree with most of his policies... but boy, look at the choices we had; not everyone would've voted for my Dad, whom to me is one of the smartest men I've ever known... not on the ticket, but still at least I knew he is fair!

odietamo 2002-03-03 06:42:20 PM
Do you vote, Ouch? Let's get that out of the way first.

I don't anticipate another terrorist attack
Hey everybody! Emergency situation resolved. Ouch says everything is okay. Nothing to see here. Return to your homes.

everything is regulated to excess.
What??? What sources do you get this from? Immigration is unregulated and out of control. Airport security is a joke. There are chemical, biological and nuclear weapons all over the damn place.

Even if there is one, I doubt it will directly affect any of us.
Well thank you Homer Simpson. "It's funny 'cause I don't know them." Pure genius.

all over the world and nobody seems to be affected.
Funny. I think the dead and their loved ones might disagree with you. Why don't you take a trip to Manhatten and help yank six month old decaying body parts out of the rubble at Ground Zero and say that again? Be sure to say it to the firefighters who lost friends and relatives and were there that day, especially.

Usually normal people don't take the initiative in actively doing something about the injustices of the world because they have no power over them.
Which is exactly what you are preaching here, further proving the point you made above: I know nothing about.

think they're being blamed for something that's, in reality, their governments fault.
Funny. I thought we lived in a representative republic and therefore elected our officials by voting for them. Hence, some responsibility is there. But I guarantee, you don't vote and so feel it isn't your fault. Well guess what Ouch, inaction is just a much of a choice as action, making you just as responsible for the results.
