They will give them to you randomly. It'll say on the left side of the screen if you have any when you login.

BTW, you get many more gmail invites when you provide quality (i.e. helpful) feedback and report bugs. I've gotten 30 invites thus far.

That's a lot of work. But I guess someone will find it worth the effort.

You know yahoo and hotmail both way upped their storage limits. And they have pretty decent spam filtering, depending on your settings. I know I'll never come close to using up my storage limit now.

I think I've figure out the way to get invites immediately after you get your account. I did this and it worked, but it wouldn't work for a friend of mine. Here are the instructions anyways.

When you first get your account, you won't have invites. If you click on Settings in the top right hand corner, then click on Account Settings, then click Edit Services Info "Gmail", you'll pop back to the Gmail inbox with 6 invites.

Post back if this works...

If you are a tin-foil hat type, the biggest gripe is that they target advertising based on the content of your emails. Another gripe is the label instead of folder system.

I've been on it for 3 months and it's great. I even got used to the label idea.
